This collaboration brings together integration expertise and industrial SaaS innovation to deliver ready-to-deploy digitization solutions for emerging data ecosystems including Catena-X.
Strong partnership for digital manufacturing
T-Systems and German Edge Cloud (GEC) are collaborating on a joint go-to-market approach for data ecosystems in manufacturing industries. The partnership combines T-Systems’ integration, onboarding and connectivity capabilities across data ecosystems including Catena-X with German Edge Cloud’s ONCITE industrial SaaS solution. Together, the companies aim to provide customers with practical, ready-to-go use cases that accelerate digital transformation across manufacturing ecosystems.
The focus of the collaboration is on traceability and industrial AI. The ONCITE Digital Production System (DPS) will in the future also be provided as a SaaS application on the Telekom Cloud via the Container-as-a-Service platform Red Hat OpenShift.
From showcase success to scaling rollout for quick results
The advantage of data ecosystems for manufacturing firms has been clearly established in a successful showcase demonstration by GEC with Cofinity-X. Now, GEC and T-Systems are collaborating to scale this advantage and deepening value creation with data ecosystems across the entire manufacturing industry space. By combining cloud integration expertise with industrial edge innovation, customers benefit from seamless implementation and measurable results.
T-Systems will leverage its digital footprint in manufacturing to lead sales and implementation activities, ensuring end-to-end project execution and strong customer engagement. German Edge Cloud contributes its ONCITE SaaS solution and product expertise, supporting implementation and enablement.
“Our customers don’t need more concepts — they need results. By combining our integration and connectivity expertise with industrial SaaS innovation, we are turning vision into operational reality. Together, we enable scalable, secure solutions that deliver measurable impact across the manufacturing value chain. This partnership strengthens our commitment to driving real digital transformation for our customers.”
Elke Anderl, Chief Commercial Officer at T-Systems.
The partnership is designed to deliver standardized, scalable industrial solutions that are easy to adopt and integrate into existing production environments. For AI workloads of the ONCITE-X AI applications, it is planned to leverage Deutsche Telekom’s Industrial AI Platform, in line with the target architecture for compute-intensive AI models and future joint AI services.
In focus: Growth areas and partnerships
The collaboration targets key data ecosystem initiatives including Catena-X, where interoperability, trusted data exchange and AI-driven insights are becoming critical success factors. By aligning with relevant ecosystem partners and industry initiatives, the companies aim to expand digital value chains and enhance the digital maturity of existing customers. The joint approach supports companies in unlocking new efficiency gains, improving transparency and leveraging industrial data for smarter decision-making.
From vision to implementation
The partnership will include coordinated market activities, joint governance structures and clearly defined solution portfolios. Pilot projects with selected customers will validate use cases and demonstrate the tangible business value of combining industrial SaaS and secure integration services.
In addition, both companies will collaborate on marketing and industry events in 2026 to showcase their joint solutions and highlight best practices for digitization and ecosystems in manufacturing industries.
Driving scalable digital ecosystems
By working together, T-Systems and German Edge Cloud are strengthening their commitment to building open, scalable and customer-centric digital ecosystems. The collaboration reinforces their shared ambition to make Industry-X scenarios not only technically feasible, but truly usable in day-to-day industrial operations—turning digital potential into real business impact.
