About German Edge Cloud

German Edge Cloud (GEC) is a provider of industrial software, services and technologies that support companies in their transformation to a digitalised, resilient and energy-efficient manufacturing facility. With its ONCITE Digital Production System (DPS), GEC offers a software solution with standardised applications and microservice-based architecture for an easy integration of new functionalities.

GEC's solutions are implemented at well-known companies in various sectors, including the Industry 4.0 plant of sister company Rittal in Haiger.

German Edge Cloud is a co-founder and committed member of initiatives such as Gaia-X, Factory-X and Catena-X. As part of the automotive network and with its Catena-X-certified ONCITE DPS, for example, GEC is committed to efficient, transparent and secure data exchange along the entire automotive industry value chain.

GEC is part of the Friedhelm Loh Group, an owner-managed company. The group of companies employs over 12,100 people and achieved a turnover of 3.0 billion euros in the 2023 financial year.
