The energy shift for your factory

The energy shift for your factory

Identify and boost your potential energy savings

Helping to shape the energy shift is a huge challenge facing both the industry as a whole, and you as a market player. ONCITE DPS can help you to manage your production from a cost and energy availability perspective.

When it comes to optimising your energy use, transparency and measurability are the crucial first steps. Understanding and being familiar with your consumption is the key to optimising it and your downstream energy management. The ONCITE DPS Energy Monitoring software module enables the monitoring and optimization of energy consumption in the industrial sector as well as in the data center. This allows you to gather, analyze and track production and performance data in near real time in order to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.

Koller optimizes its energy use

Modern energy management generates competitive advantages

Koller Kunststofftechnik GmbH produces several thousand injection-molded parts for the automotive industry every day. To meet the growing demand for energy efficiency and sustainability, Koller has implemented an innovative energy management system. The Energy software module from the ONCITE Digital Production System (DPS) enables precise recording and analysis of energy consumption throughout the entire production process. A central dashboard displays key figures such as energy consumption per part and production data in relation to each other. This makes it possible to identify load peaks and quickly implement potential savings. Koller is not only able to achieve significant cost savings, but also create the basis for sustainable business practices – an important competitive advantage in the automotive industry.

Energy and power in your production plant

Sustainability starts with energy consumption

If you monitor your power consumption and can visualize the power curves in correlation with the production processes and other environmental parameters, you will be able to identify where energy can be saved. For example, it can be determined that on average around 30 percent of the energy consumption of machine tools is used in standby mode to maintain process stability. Only a quarter of the total power consumption is used by the manufacturing process itself.

As the prerequisite for energy management, energy monitoring not only benefits production but also minimises the factory’s carbon footprint and contributes to climate protection.

  • Detailed overview by recording and measuring energy data.
  • Identify and exploit potential energy savings.
  • Correlate energy data such as electricity or gas consumption with production data and other environmental parameters
  • Manage energy consumption in combination with production processes, economically and ecologically.
