Industrial AI – Now.

How data, AI and ecosystems are redefining manufacturing.

Manufacturing is at a turning point: data is becoming a critical factor in production, AI is acting as a catalyst and data spaces are laying the foundation for new sources of added value. At Hannover Messe 2026, we’ll demonstrate how ONCITE DPS, Agentic AI and interoperable ecosystems are making manufacturing smarter, more efficient and more resilient.

Why Industrial AI Matters Now

More complex processes, limited resources, rising energy and quality requirements as well as new regulations are placing greater demands on industry today than ever before. Industrial AI offers enormous opportunities - but only if data is available, processed, standardized and reliable. This is exactly where the German Edge Cloud provides the right solution.

Industrial AI Applications

Transparency, efficiency and AI - all from a single data source.

Many factories generate massive amounts of production data every day - yet this data often goes unused because it is spread across machines, equipment and IT systems. Without a unified data source, it is difficult to achieve transparency, efficiency and industrial AI to their full potential - or to implement them at all. ONCITE DPS solves exactly this problem: The platform connects machines, equipment and IT systems and generates a consistent, usable database for the entire production process.

What are we showcasing at the Hannover Messe?

At HM26, we’ll be demonstrating ONCITE DPS as the central data hub of the factory and offering live insights:

  • Digital Industrial Engineer – Agentic AI-powered engineering decisions based on the ONCITE database
  • Industrial AI – AI-powered analytics and assistance systems
  • Transparency – Real-time visibility into processes, machine status and material flows
  • Energy – Transparent energy consumption and optimization potential
  • Track & Trace – Traceability across the entire value chain (Catena-X recertified)

This is how we make digitalization in manufacturing possible and scalable. Companies can systematically increase their level of digitalization, control production processes based on data and pave the way for the use of Industrial AI in the manufacturing plants. ONCITE DPS thus creates the foundation for connected, efficient, and future-proof production.

AI in Manufacturing

Scale knowledge. Accelerate decision-making. Rethink engineering.

Many decisions in industrial engineering are based on the experiential knowledge of individual experts. This knowledge is valuable - but difficult to scale, hard to reproduce and often undocumented. Agentic AI fundamentally changes this reality: It makes experiential knowledge systematically usable and supports engineers in complex planning and optimization tasks.

What are we showcasing at the Hannover Messe?

With the Digital Industrial Engineer, an Agentic AI assistance system, GEC demonstrates how knowledge is transformed into added value:

  • Linking production data, documentation and engineering knowledge
  • Preparing, evaluating and explaining complex decisions
  • Analysing variant diversity, quality requirements and bottlenecks
  • Builds on the ONCITE database and thus operates consistently across the entire factory

Based on the ONCITE DPS industrial data platform - production data, documentation as well as and engineering knowledge are linked together. This creates a new form of collaboration between humans and AI - faster, more transparent and scalable for the manufacturing of the future.

Manufacturing-X Data Ecosystems

Interoperable data spaces for the connected industry.

Industrial collaboration is rapidly evolving toward data-driven ecosystems. Catena-X, Manufacturing-X and other initiatives are laying the groundwork for secure, standardized data exchange across industrial value chains. The challenge: Many companies need to use multiple data spaces simultaneously—in a way that is interoperable, secure and efficient.

What are we showcasing at the Hannover Messe?

Together with strong partners, we are demonstrating how companies can use data in an interoperable manner across various industrial ecosystems. The foundation for this is ONCITE DPS, an industrial data platform. Production data from machines, plants and IT systems is integrated, structured and prepared for exchange. This allows the data to be fed into the Catena-X data space in a standardized format. At the same time, the architecture is based on the principles of Factory-X, which serves as a reference framework for broader industrial collaboration. In this way, we combine established data spaces with forward-looking architectural approaches - for sovereign, scalable and interoperable value-creation networks.

The focus is on:

  • Standardized data exchange with Catena-X (recertified)
  • Interoperability between different industrial ecosystems
  • Sovereign data management through clear governance models

The showcase demonstrates how companies can connect their production with industrial data ecosystems while utilizing multiple data spaces simultaneously. This creates a new form of digital collaboration across the entire value chain - interoperable, sovereign and scalable.

Industrial AI Cloud

Scaling Industrial AI. From the Edge to the Cloud. Secure, flexible, production-ready.

Industrial AI only realizes its full potential when data, computing power and applications work together seamlessly - from the shop floor to the cloud. The key factor here is how and where AI is deployed: at the edge, directly on the production line for rapid responses, or as a scalable service in the cloud. Our Industrial AI cloud solutions enable precisely this flexibility. Companies can operate AI as needed and quickly integrate it into existing production environments. This makes Industrial AI secure, efficient and scalable.

What are we showcasing at the Hannover Messe?

  • Edge-to-Cloud Continuum: Seamless processing and utilization of data and AI across the entire infrastructure
  • Scalable AI Workloads: Flexible deployment of AI applications based on demand and use case
  • Containerized Platforms: Open, standardized IT (e.g., Kubernetes or OpenShift) for maximum flexibility
  • Secure and flexible operating models: Highly available and sovereign operating models for production environments
  • Integration with ONCITE DPS: Utilizing the industrial data foundation as the basis for Industrial AI

This is how Industrial AI becomes a game changer in everyday production - integrated into the industrial value chain.
