German Edge Cloud showcases its sovereign industrial AI platform ONCITE at HANNOVER MESSE

German Edge Cloud (GEC) is presenting its industrial AI platform ONCITE at HANNOVER MESSE in Hall 16, Booth A16. The solution is designed to bring together industrial data, knowledge, and applications within an integrated, sovereign architecture – making industrial AI operational and secure for industrial value creation.

“Many industrial companies already have extensive data assets, but these are often unstructured and siloed. In addition, while many companies have implemented initial proof-of-concepts for AI applications, scaling them into operational use often remains a challenge”

explains Dieter Meuser, CEO of German Edge Cloud.

ONCITE addresses exactly this challenge: the platform structures and integrates industrial data and provides an end-to-end environment for data management, AI services, and application operations – from the shop floor to the cloud. On this basis, AI applications can also be deployed productively and at scale.

A secure platform approach for industrial AI

With ONCITE, German Edge Cloud follows a consistent platform approach. The solution provides a unified data and AI layer on which various industrial applications and services can be integrated and operated. These include, among others, the ONCITE Digital Production System (DPS) for capturing and contextualizing production data, as well as the knowledge platform great2know, which structures industrial know-how and makes it available for AI applications.

All applications access a shared data foundation and use centralized AI services along with a unified security and governance model.

“Industrial AI must move beyond the pilot phase into broad production use. This requires a platform that brings together data, applications, and AI and makes them operable according to demand”

says Dieter Meuser, CEO of German Edge Cloud.

Sovereign edge-to-cloud architecture

A key feature of ONCITE is its sovereign operating architecture. Companies can flexibly run their data and applications wherever it makes the most technical and regulatory sense – at the edge, on-premises, or in the cloud. This approach enables organizations to combine requirements for data sovereignty, compliance, and IP protection with the flexibility needed for modern AI applications. At the same time, it ensures that data remains usable across locations and is available for analytics and AI models.

AI applications live at HANNOVER MESSE

German Edge Cloud demonstrates how ONCITE is used in practice at HANNOVER MESSE 2026. Visitors will gain insights into concrete application scenarios, including AI-powered assistance systems for engineering and production, real-time transparency across production processes, and knowledge-based decision support based on real production data.

Together with partners such as Fraunhofer CCIT, Red Hat, T-Systems, great2know, Phoenix Technologies, and TriOS, GEC will demonstrate in Hall 16, Booth A16 how a seamless edge-to-cloud architecture for industrial AI can already be implemented today.

Expanding an industrial AI ecosystem

With ONCITE, German Edge Cloud lays the foundation for a growing ecosystem of industrial applications. Additional SaaS solutions and AI use cases can be integrated into the platform without creating new data silos or adding operational complexity.

The platform thus enables companies to gradually expand their digitalization and AI strategies while maintaining a consistent data and operational foundation.
